I made some design studies of alien spaceships for Frédéric Forestier, when he was competiting to direct this movie.

As he was not chosen the research stoped quickly... The initial idea was to connect the aliens with the liquid element
From there two design directions stand out: the "crustaceans" and the "manta ray/octopus"...
